Beginners Course - Improvised Clown Comedy

Discover your inner fool with our beginners course in improvised clowning. Learn how to be stupid and hilarious on stage. Listen to the audience, find the fun and play with others to create something magical in this 6 week class in improvised clowning.

No previous experience is needed for this course. If you like being stupid, playful or want to bring more physicality and audience sensitivity into an existing performance, then this course is for you.

This course can help you become more playful in your life and on stage as you find it easier to discover the fun and take advantage of that through a series of improvised exercises.

Throughout our 6 weeks we will cover aspects of comedy and clowning such as:

  • Game

  • Audience sensitivity

  • The flop

  • Complicity

  • Major / Minor

  • Fixed point

Every week you’ll get a summary email containing examples to comedy that uses the principles you’ve been learning, further helping you see the many ways you can apply these lessons.
